One more set before crashing. The National Multicultural Festival happened last week with Anthony Callea opening the festival with a brilliant performance. Fortunately for me I took the day off work to be able have this opportunity to test out my brand spanking new Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 but lo-and-behold I ended up shooting on the 70-200 pretty much the whole night.
That night I had a ball photographing Anthony, fortunately the lights were done by pros so I had no issues with poor lighting, Anthony was awesome on stage which provided many opportunities to produce many keepers and finally my own gear could actually keep up with the speed of the concert.
All in all a great success.
I was also able to catch the last half of Bombay Royale’s performance so keep an eye out as I’ll post the set when I’m done processing. Otherwise enjoy my set and if you’re not already a fan of my Facebook page send me a ‘Like’ if you enjoy my work.
National Multicultural Festival 2012 Part 1 – Anthony Callea
Summer Sounds 2012 Part 3 – Matt Handel Quartet
This is the last part of my three part series from The Australian National Botanic Garden’s Summer Sounds series for 2012. It features local jazz outfit the Matt Handel Quartet closing the night after the Liam Budge Trio.
Anyway I won’t talk anymore enjoy the set and if you’re not already a fan of my facebook page, be an awesome reader and send me a ‘Like’ if you enjoy my work.
Summer Sounds 2012 Part 2 – Liam Budge Trio
This is the second part of my Summer Sounds collection and features the Liam Budge Trio. This time round I had finally replaced my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 with Nikons’ 70-200 f/2.8 VRII. The lens was an absolute dream to shoot with; super sharp, fast and devoid of any sort of faults.
It was fun shooting both bands that were performing that day.
I’m keeping both bands as separate posts so the final post should be up soon after this one.
Summer Sounds 2012 Part 1 – Annie and the Armadillos

The Australian National Botanic Gardens have been hosting their Summer Sounds series last month featuring Jazz and dance talent. Of course this means an opportunity to sharpen my skills at photographing bands.
With an day off work I decided to clear my calendar and head off to the Botanic Gardens to photograph Annie and the Armadillos. Hope y’all enjoy the set!
